Located on the first floor in a newly build tenement building in a quiet street just off Edinburgh's bustling Junction Street in Leith, the apartment is cosy with a comfortable living room with 2 spacious single sofa beds, a King Size bedroom and a bedroom with single bed and a single pull out trundle bed, offering sleeping accommodation for 6 people in total.
All major city centre attractions are within easy reach with Princes Street, the Playhouse Theatre and key Festival venues only 20 minutes by bus. The Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith are 15 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus.
Are you a foodie? You will be in serious heaven here with Michelin-starred restaurants like The Plumed Horse and The Kitchin only a 5 to 10 minute walk away. And if you fancy some cake Mimi’s famous bakehouse (only a 5 minute walk away) has award winning bread and cakes to satisfy anyone’s chocolate craving.
After a long day exploring Edinburgh, relax in the living room with its comfortable seating area, Freeview TV and Free WIFI. Then rustle up a meal in the small but well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need, from a hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and various kitchen utensils and gadgets.
The King Size bedroom and the single bedroom (with extra pull-out trundle bed to accommodate a 6th guest) are at the back of the apartment, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The 2 sofa’s in the living room convert into 2 spacious single beds. Duvets, pillows, linen and towels are included in the rental and changed on a weekly basis.
The bathroom has a toilet, sink, bath and shower. There is central heating throughout and a heated towel rail warms up the towels in the bathroom.
Shopping & Dining:
A Lidl supermarket is just a minute walk away at the bottom of Leith Walk, and a large Tesco can be found a 3 minute walk away on the other side of Leith Walk. This store is open from 6AM till midnight daily (8-8 on Sunday). There is a great selection of convenient small shops ranging from wine merchants, bakery and patisserie, fruit and veg shops and gift shops nearby.
For those who do not feel like cooking there are take-away shops and good quality restaurants nearby.
Families are welcome at this apartment. A travel cot can be supplied by prior arrangement. A small play park can be found nearby and Arthur's Seat and Calton Hill offer green spaces.
Leith Victoria Swimming Pool and gym are only 1 minute away from the apartment and open throughout the year. Ideal for an early morning swim or an energising work-out.
Please note that the apartment does not accept pets.
Parking and transport:
Free on-street parking is available in the area around this apartment on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is a paid car park just 1 minute away at the bottom of Leith Walk, behind the Lidl supermarket and a larger car park can be found behind Tesco on Leith Walk, a 3 minute walk away. Junction Street is well-served by frequent bus services to and from Princes Street, Ocean terminal and there is a direct (but slow) bus to the airport. A taxi from the city centre costs between £7-12. The apartment is around 30 minutes walk to both Waverley train station and the bus station, both of which are also reachable by direct bus services. An Airport bus departs at regular intervals from Waverley bridge.

As the apartment is in a residential building, we expect guests to be quiet and respectful to our neighbours at all times. They are not on holiday and do not wish to be disturbed by our guests making noise/ringing their doorbell etc.
By booking with us you are contractually agreeing to abide by our house rules and accept that we reserve the right to evict guests who cannot obey these rules.

Schöne und gemütliche und gut ausgestattete Wohnung in perfekter, recht zentraler Lage!
Alles was man braucht (Parkplatz, Supermarkt, Bus) ist vor der Haustüre.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, Annette ist eine überaus freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Vielen Dank für alles und jederzeit gerne wieder!
Le moins: appartement très très bruyant et pas très bien entretenu.le canapé lit peu confortable
Le plus: à proximité du centre ville à pied ou en bus. quartier animé (d'où le bruit!).
We enjoyed very much in Annette's apartment. Since the host was close to the apartment check-in was going well although I forgot to inform my arrival time in advance. The host was very kind and helpful. she gave us some useful information. There's not so much things to ask cause it's very well organized though. Kitchen was wonderful we enjoyed our cooking and it feels like I'm just staying at my friend's place. Comfortable and cozy. Then location is not really central but still easy to reach to the city center. We walked everyday to the city center. I'd like to recommend this apartment to everyone.

Easy for visiting New And Old Town.
L'appartement est extrêmement bien placé et bien desservit en bus pour aller rapidement dans la vieille ville.Beaucoup de commerces de proximité.MAIS je suis déçue....j'ai trouvé que l'appartement n'était pas trés bien entretenu, en effet comme nos amis les animaux sont acceptés il ne faut pas craindre les poils et un sofa plus ou moins propre. Dans la cuisine les ustensiles de cuisines (poêles) ont déjà bien bien vécu. Il y a beaucoup de choses cassés non changées comme un bruleur de gaz, un robinet dans la salle de bain, les portes du placard de la chambre des enfants ne ferment plus et restent ouvertes, quant à la chambre des parents la photo est trés bien prise mais quand on ouvre les placards, on s'aperçoit que l'on dort à côté du chauffe eau au gaz, de plus on ne peut pas ranger ses affaires car c'est un vrai four tout et c'est sale .Dommage cet appartement a un vrai potentiel et est bien situé...Les photos sont vraiment bien prises...mais...
The accommodation was wonderful, we had a great time and Annette, the landlord, was very helpful to make us feel at home. The accommodation is on walking distance to the center of Edinburgh, quiet, and conveniently located with shops in close vicinity. Also the Wifi was convenient. Though possible, we found it more difficult than expected to find a spot in close vicinity to park our car; Nevertheless, we really liked the place and would certainly go back to the same place on a next occasion.
We had a fabulous time in Edinburgh. The apartment was clean and fully furnished with a personal touch. The spacious kitchen is particularly remarkable. Annette has been a polite and pleasant host. We highly recommend this apartment to other guests.
Annette and self catering Edinburgh was excellent. A very handy position, very welcoming and helpful advice. Great basics there. Loved the little history books and the flowers. Shower could have more pressure. Very homely.
Ce pied-à-terre était parfait pour notre week-end ensoleillé. L'appartement est propre et bien équipé. Nous avons apprécié les petites attentions comme les fleurs ou les shortbreads.
