Comentários sobre a acomodação
This was a great place to stay, right in the centre of Amsterdam. Just a few minutes from the city centre with great restaurants. Gerard welcomed us really friendly and showed us on a map where we are and where are the main things in Amsterdam.
Furthermore is it a lovely room.
The location of the room was very good. It is central but also quiet. The Metro is about 5 minutes away. Near the room are supermarkets and shops. So everything you need is not far away. We loved breakfast at bagels & beans :-) Actually we didn't use public transport very much because we walked most of the time.
Gerard was very kind and helpful. He answers questions via mail immediately. We had a great time! Thank you very much!
Very very nice apartment and a really friendly and nice host. I would book this one again
Nice cozy room situated in a quiet quarter but only few minutes away from the center. A perfect room for a shortstay in Amsterdam!
Gerard was gracious as a host, quick & to the point with explaining the rules/guidelines and let us be to begin our short stay. The room was pristine , all modern, fully functional amenities and best of all was its location. Central as can be without the noisy Amsterdam streets yet only a ten minute stroll to the city hub. Perfect, would recommend to any couple. Also, forgot the price is very reasonable.
If you are looking for a good and affordable place to stay in Amsterdam then you have found it. The host Gerard is a friendly, responsive, helpful, and no nonsense Dutch as everybody knows and likes them.
The studio apartment with modern bathroom is cosy, clean, and well equipped. Left to the Espresso machine you’ll find the most delicious Dutch cookies this side of the equator (I had an argument with my wife whether I should eat all of them, what is considered impolite in the modest Netherlands). I went for it anyway.
The place is calm and everything works just fine.
The address of the accommodation (fourth floor with elevator) is in walking distance (15 minutes with luggage) to the train station Amsterdam Centraal. However, it is better to check a street map before arrival because old European metropolises are not easily negotiated. At the home you are just around the corner of a nice breakfast place and other convenient shopping; quasi next door to the opera, and a cat jump from the Herengracht.
As most people come to Amsterdam in order to see the Grachten (canals) and the major museums like Rijksmuseum, Modern Art Museum, and the Van Gogh Museum (Each a Must!) you can merge the two by walking 35 minutes to the museum quarter and after a lot of education you can stroll back along another Gracht, which will always lead you back home.
If you come for shopping, this is a great place. The worst second hand shops in Amsterdam are more exciting and valuable than most major high street sops in Europe. In comparison, forget Oxford Street. (The Dutch must either be rich or generous).
About Amsterdam nightlife you will have to find out on your own because I can’t be of any help about that. If you break your walks in Koffie Shops allow for more time to arrive at the museums....or elsewhere. Enjoy.
Five stars from us, our recommendation.
