It is within very easy walking distance of all the major tourist attractions including the Palace of Holyrood House (the Queen's residence when staying in Edinburgh), the new award winning Scottish Parliament and the Royal Mile, containing a thousand years of turbulent Scottish history.
The Royal Mile is the historic backbone of Edinburgh's Old Town, linking together it's two Royal strongholds – Edinburgh Castle at one end and the Palace of Holyrood at the other.

*Waverley Station, the city's main railway station is only 5 minutes walk in the other direction
*Fashionable East End is also a short walk from the apartment and is host to a large number of designer shops including Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Armani and Harvey Nichols.

The apartment is also perfectly positioned for access to the city's finest parks. Queen's Park is approximately 3 minutes walk away and is an outstanding piece of wild highland landscape in the centre of the city. It has Arthur's Seat, (an active volcano about 250 million years ago) at it's centre. This hill rises above the city to a height of 251 metres (823 feet) and the panoramic views from the top are the finest you will find. The walks around the Hill and it's 3 lochs are also outstanding.

The flat is furnished very nicely with all what one for the everyday need needs and still more. She is very quiet and even though in the middle of the Old Town and is central, absolutely dreamlike. Thanks Liz loves that we might spend a wonderful week in Edinburgh.
Everything was perfect:
- great Location (Close to Restaurants, Pubs, Shops, places of Interst etc.)
- big and clean appartment (comfortable beds, big kitchen & living room)
- clothes wasching machine, dishwasher
- hairdryer, several towels
- guest information (brochures)
- very hospitable, friendly and helpfull contact

This a fabulous apartment, close to shops, restaurants, bars. We had an excellent trip and wouldn't hesitate in recommending 33 Gayfield Sq as a fab base from which to explore Edinburgh.
Wir hatten die Wohnung für eine Woche gebucht. Alles lief wunderbar ab und unsere Gastgeber haben uns viele nützliche Ratschläge gegeben. Die Wohnung war 15 min zu Fuß vom Bahnhof entfernt und hatte alles was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Alles war sehr gemütlich und warm eingerichtet.
Ich kann dieses Apartment jedem aufs wärmste empfehlen.
todo perfecto, el apartamento es igual que sale en las fotos. ninguna sorpresa desagradable. las explicaciones sobre las llaves, alarma, calefaccion etc... claras y concisas. sin duda alguna volveria
De locatie van het appartement was goed ten opzichte van alle van de Royal mile en alle bezienswaardigheden en pubs en restaurants en winkels.
Wij vonden het een gezellig appartement. Badkamer is wel echt aan renovatie toe! Afwasmachine is erg lawaaiig. Met zes mensen vinden wij 1 badkamer wel weinig, daar de w.c. daar ook zit.
Wij hadden 's nachts wel regelmatig last van onder buren en lawaai op straat, ramen konden we daarom niet open zetten. Het was voor ons fijn dat er twee parkeerplaatsen beschikbaar waren.
Het appartement was erg goed ingericht, alles wat je nodig had was er, er zijn geen theedoeken, wel volop handdoeken, super!
Mooi appartement. Huiselijk en ruim. Prachtige locatie nabij centrum, rustig en comfortabel. Klein minpunt zijn de krakende vloeren en harde bedden.
Haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt, würde ich sofort wieder buchen.
