A selection of shops, restaurants and bars are in walking distance. Also close by is a swimming pool and relaxing geothermal hot spots.

Guests should take into consideration that some of the reviews are written about another accommodation the host had Reykjavik.
One of our guest complained about a noise from a restaurant nearby but that was just our neighbor (Jonsi in Sigurros) who held a garden party one Friday night. Otherwise the neighborhood is very peaceful :)

My sister and I absolutely loved our stay in Anna's charming studio. We had everything necessary for a comfortable and cozy 4 nights...really comfy bed, great shower, fresh fruit, clean kitchen, etc. Anna was very accommodating and we hope to return again soon and stay again. I highly recommend this wonderful room, within easy walking distance to central Reykjavik.
Not worth the money.
There is nothing against the ceiling, so you look direct at the concrete. That's why it is very noisy, you hear every step they make above you (till late in the night).
Out of the sink (and the same in the kitchen) a dirty smell comes up direct after you use the sinkfaucet.
Also the kitchenequipment is very basic (1 knife, 1 pan, 1 caked fryingpan.
The lamp at the bedside was broken.
There were stains on the bedsheet.
The bed was good en the wifi also.
The studio was small but effectively furnished, and clean. A gem hidden behind an anonymous facade, originally obviously a shop, with the entrance directly from the street. It had everything, cooking space, a comfortable bed, bathroom and a table for two with basic equipment for cooking and eating. (Only one sauce pan , but I am certain the host would add one more and a frying pan if you ask.) It was decorated with great inspiration and joy in a maximalist but still spacy way, due to the high ceiling (in black with a chandelier), with a mixture of carefully selected antiques/upper end flee market finds and kitsch in a rough cafe-style. Really exotic and fun. Very close to the centre in an interesting neighbourhood with many really authentic houses. Only disadvantage was the noise on Friday night when Reykjavik became alive and you could hear the happy people in an outdoor restaurant nearby. But as long as you bring earplugs, this should not deter you!
when you enter a rented room in the middle of the night after strenuous days of travel and you find a nice note, a fruit basket and some skyr waiting for you, you're sure you'll be feeling quite at home for the next few days. and so it was.
we very much enjoyed staying in the little studio. everything is very clean and quite cozy. the kitchen offers anything you might want, including coffee and a tea-selection. to top it off, it is perfectly situated in the heart of reykjavik.
we'd stay there again any time!
It is a very nice family.
We have felt ourselves very well.
We had a room with double bed. Kitchen and bath we took together, all other items such as towels and hair dryer were available.
There's even a sweet cuddly cat.
There is easy access to everything: close is a "bonus" shopping market, the motorway on the A49/A1, Hallgrimskyrka, Harpa Concert Hall, Elliðaár .. so optimal starting point for all excursions.
We would stay there again any time.
Very well connected to the city centre. The owner is really friendly and provided good tips for our travel :)
Anna and Örn were great hosts. They are a really nice and laid back couple. Their place was really nice and in a really quite neighbourhood. Soon they will move into central Reykjavik which will be even more convenient for travellers. I will definately stay with them the next time I visit Reykjavik. They would have got 5 stars from me if the place had been a bit more central.
