Descrição
I am offering an old stylish, very bright and freshly renovated and refurnished studio apartment near to the trendy Weserstraße next to a lots of art galleries, bars, cafes, restaurants, flea markets and the famous Maybachufer-Market (bio and oriental).
The apartment is a typical "Berliner Altbau", 36 square meter, living room area with double bed and sofa that turn into beds and open kitchen. All the utilities, including kitchen and bathroom, are brand new. In the kitchen there is a new fridge and a stove.
The apartment is located in the Neukölln district. Like the neighbouring Kreuzberg, Neukölln used to be on the edge of West Berlin while the city was divided. As Neukölln was known for its low rents, it attracted many immigrants: thus it got a special multicultural flair.
After the reunification, the district suddenly became more central and very popular among students and young people. The alternative subculture of Kreuzberg reached the north of Neukölln little by little. After Tempelhof Airport was closed, the area is no longer noisy.
Within a few years, Neukölln came to be considered as one of the trendiest places in Berlin: it offers international cuisine, cafes and bars where you can afford to go even on small budgets. The clubs in Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain are easily reachable by public transport. The border area between Kreuzberg and Hermannplatz is known as ‘Kreuzkölln’.
The area has good transport links. The U-Bahn line U7 leads directly to Kreuzberg, the U8 to Kreuzberg and to Mitte. The S-Bahn lines S41 and S42 connect the neighborhood with Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg.
