Apartment on Grant Avenue

Appartement très agréable au 2è étage d'un petit immeuble. Idéalement situé (tout au nord de Chinatown et à 1 bloc de North Beach). Un peu bruyant cependant car situé dans une rue commerçante. Malgré ce petit bémol, je recommande cette location car les prestations fournies sont très bonnes et l'accueil très sympathique.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, perfekte Lage ( verschiedene Buslinien in 2 min erreichbar, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe), Lärm für uns längst nicht so störend wie in andren Bewertungen dargestellt (wir brauchten keine Ohrstöpsel), Wohnung sauber, alles Notwendige - auch für die Selbstversorgung - vorhanden, für uns für 2 Personen ideal, würden immer wieder kommen

We recently spent 4 days in the Grant Avenue apartment (2 adults, 2 kids) and it was everything that we expected. Rick met us on our arrival and showed us around. It was great to have 2 bedrooms with the kids so we had a bit of our own space. The location is fantastic - right in the thick of things and a walk to most attractions. I expected it to be a bit noisy at night given earlier reviews, and yes there was some noise, but nothing we couldn't sleep through. I would highly recommend the apartment for anyone looking to escape the '2 queen beds and nothing else' holiday accommodation experience.

Goede locatie in het centrum van gebeurtenis. Vele eetgelegenheden voor elk wat wils: authentiek chinese en italiaanse keuken. Uitstekende service van de beheerder.Minpuntrn: geluid van de straat dringt door vooral heel vroeg in de ochtend. Duur als je de gemaakte reservering annuleert.

We are a Danish family of 4 (2 boys aged 15 and 21), and we stayed 4 nights in this great appartment. It was nice, clean, quite spacious with the 2 bedrooms located in each end of the appartment, with a nice kitchen, bathroom and a small livingroom in between. Big windows in all rooms result in both plenty of daylight and a beautiful view of the city. Photos at the Wimdu website show the appartment just as it is. The only fly in the ointment was a great deal of noise from the street late in the evening as well as very early in the morning. We succeded though in kind of considering it as part of the charming atmosthere of Chinatown, and we could sleep anyway. We would probably apply for another stay, if we go to San Francisco again.

We had a great time in San Francisco and the apartment was fantastic and was exactly as illustrated which was nice and modern. The location was safe and very well located to everything we wanted to see. Our host was excellent with his communications and service. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone. Thank you for a great stay!

A lovely clean & modern 2 bedroom apartment, with the free Wi-Fi a bonus! Rick is a friendly & informative host - he met our family of 4 at the Apartment right on time, and went so far as to walk us around Chinatown and North Beach for an hour so we could get our bearings! So Kind!! Rick also suggested some great places for dinner, and we took his suggestions on board! I recommend R and G Lounge for Chinese (you really need to book a day or so ahead), and Soldini's Italian in North Beach (food OK, but a great atmosphere!). Both walking distance from the Apartment. There is a Walgreen's around the corner for all grocery & alcohol supplies! We walked back a few times from Union Square, and even Fishermans Wharf is not an overly difficult distance. It was a different experince staying in the heart of Chinatown - be aware its a very vibrant and busy area, and the downside is that its noisy into the early hours of the morning (ear plugs are provided - you'll probably need them).

Sehr saubere, modern eingerichtete Wohnung mitten in Chinatown mit allem, was man so braucht. Leider laut, dafür viel Lokalkolorit. Vorsorgender Gastgeber stellt Ohrstöpsel zur Verfügung.

The apartment was beautiful. Location was great for family who are in need of access to food all the time. Walkable distance to union square and nice to explore the little italy side of SF or even walk to Fisherman's Wharf is very doable

Rick’s apartment is in the centre of the gastronomic world with so many cafes, and restaurants (of many different cuisines) virtually on the doorstep. The apartment has every feature a traveller could ever want; it is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and has a wonderful sunny aspect and view. Our stay in San Francisco was an absolute highlight due to Rick’s helpfulness and his being such a genuine and gracious host – thank you Rick. Guess where we will be staying next time we are in San Francisco?
