Cosy Apartment in Midtown New York - 7838

The location is excellent. In a quieter area but still very close to the hustle and bustle. The subway is just a few minutes walk. Central Park and MoMA are a short walk. Apartment is decent size for the price. Having two bedrooms separate from living room is nice. One downside is street noise b/c it is ground level, but we knew that going into it. Just bring some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The only bad thing is we discovered our last night that there were cockroaches in the kitchen.... not sure if this apartment is sprayed regularly.

Nice apartment on a great location in quiet neighbourhood. It is close to the subway. We were three people in the apartment and it worked out good. The only thing missing was a quilt to the sofa-bed.

The location of this apartment is superb: a quiet street that's only a few steps from a vast selection of eating and drinking establishments and mere minutes walk from subways. The checkin process was painless, the "front desk" staff friendly and helpful. Checking out was even easier. The apartment itself was clean inside, although there was trash left behind on the landing from previous guests. The trash remained there for the duration of our stay despite calls and emails to the property managers and assurances that it would be removed. The stairs to the apartment are fairly steep, but manageable. One bedroom had a rainwater leak from the skylight which allowed water to run down the wall, and pool near the foot of the bed, thankfully the bed itself did not get wet. It appeared that this leak has been going on for some time judging by the staining around the skylight and the condition of the floor. Again this remained unresolved for the duration of our stay despite assurances from the management that it would be resolved. One of the toilets had a fault with the ballcock that meant we had to fill the cistern using a bucket. Again this remained unresolved for the duration of our stay... All in all a nice place. If some effort had been made in rectifying the defects we encountered this would have been a 5 star review...

The apartment is on the first floor and is big enough for 6 persons. It's not very clean and the vacuum cleaner has a broken belt so it does not work. Everything that we needed was there and the washer, dryer and dishwasher were very welcome. The curtains were too small and shutters need some fixing. In the hallway a poweroutlet needs fixing too. The lamp in the kidsroom does not work at all. The small store at the resort has no clear openingshours and the restaurant Mambo's at the pool is only open for lunch. The other restaurant Tradewinds is not very special. The location of the resort is very good and it looks very good. The communication with Host David could be better.

Nice apartment with enough room for 6 people. Very nice kitchen with all you need. Balcon is not really to use, looks rather dilapidated. Air conditioning in all rooms, is still with us, though it was not so hot. Very close to metro, shopping and dining. 1 bedroom is a little tight, is located on the front and here we have had a major leakage from the roof. Luckily the bed dry, after message when the verhuuder is not get any reply. Bit of a shame. Fortunately it remained at on s stay with 1 day rain.

Die Wohnung war in technisch in Ordnung, Geschirr, Betten und Küche. Die Lage ist zentral mit guten Verkehrsverbindungen. Grosse Koffer sind durch das schmale Treppenhaus schwierig zu transportieren (3. Etage). Wegen der zentralen Lage darf man nicht lärmempfindlich sein. Die Müllentfernung im Treppenhaus musste reklamiert werden.

Fantastic location! This is a great apartment, and a great base if you're planning to view the sights on New York! Getting the keys was pretty straight-forward, the rooms were all clean an good-sized. Only criticism was the sofa-bed, which looked pretty old and wasn't particularly comfortable. On the whole though, good value and would stay again!

Ce n'est pas le logement que nous avons occupé. Wimdu pratiquant le surbooking (volontaire ou pas, je doute...) il serait bon que le logement proposé en échange soit vraiment équivalent à l'offre initiale, car pour le même prix, les prestations changent, du style 4ème niveau sans ascenseur, entrée et hall d'immeuble nauséabonds, escaliers sales et dangereux, porte et serrures cassées, pas de lave-vaisselle, robinets bouchés... En fait nous avons été redirigés vers un appart sur la 22ème rue, 1st avenue qui certe était propre et bien équipé à l'intérieur, conforme aux photos mais l'adresse et l'étage nous ont été dévoilés au dernier moment et encore sur demande et pour cause. Dommage. Le séjour a été toutefois agréable malgré des nuits bruyantes à cause des hôpitaux proches (ambulances hurlantes).
