The city accommodation Stuwerstrasse is located a mere 3-minute-walk from the underground station Messe/Prater and lies directly at the Viennese Prater park with its famous landmark: the Viennese ferrous wheel (Riesenrad), the fair grounds, and the University of Economic Sciences.
We can provide parking space in a garage (check rules).
This is a central location with excellent infrastructure connections: Praterstern - public transportation in every direction and a good number of stores; underground station Prater-Messe U2, bus 82A.
It's 5 minutes to Stephansplatz, Danube Island (Donauinsel).
From the underground station Messe/Prater you arrive in only a few minutes in the historic city center of Vienna - where further well known landmarks such as the Stephansdom, the Kärtnerstraße, the State Opera, the Museum of Art History, the Hofburg, the Emperor's Crypt, etc. can be found. At the Danube canal (Schwedenplatz-Urania Station), only 5 minutes by underground, you'll find the departure dock of the Twin City Liners passenger boats which shuttle between Vienna and Bratislava.
The entire holiday accommodation Stuwerstrasse is situated next to the largest part of the second district - the Prater park. The Lusthaus, a historical building, that was a beloved meeting place for the nobility and the upper middle class in the 19th century. Nowadays the Lusthaus is a café / restaurant. Not far from the Lusthaus is the Ernst-Happel stadium where the final game of the 2008 European soccer championship was played. In the Prater river bank area lies the harness racing track Krieau, the horse racing track, and a golf club.
The Wurstelprater offers a great variety of traditional Viennese gastronomic delights at establishments such as: the Schweizerhaus, well known for its plentiful supply of Budweiser beer and their roast leg of pork.
From the apartment and taking the subway, you'll arrive in just a few minutes to the Danube Island (Donauinsel) which hosts the annual 3-day open-air festival, the largest music festival in Europe, which is well known for its recreational facilities and can be reached by the underground U1 in just 2 stops.
Located in the immediate vicinity of the apartment - is the Karmelitermarkt. A market celebrated for its international delicatessen shops, pubs and restaurants and events. Nice taverns and youthful art help make the Karmelitermarkt an exciting Viennese neighborhood. On Friday and Saturday, until noon, you can buy fresh products there and enjoy the atmosphere while taking pleasure in a good glass of wine. Exhilarating food and modern art make the locale around the Karmelitermarkt a stimulating Viennese quarter.

My friend and I liked our stay at the TAV apartment. On the date of check-in, key handover was smooth thanks to ljiljana who kindly arrived earlier before the agreed time (given to the short notice from our side). The apartment was bright, clean, not noisy. It was fully equipped which made the kitchen and living area very comfortable and gave the feeling of being at home. Fast and trouble-free Wi-Fi. Very nice bathroom area! We much appreciated the help of Bernadette, apartment owner (very pleasant lady), in solving the issue with gas water heater in bathroom: service specialists repaired it promptly and efficiently, so we experienced no inconvenience.
2 Billa supermarkets are located at Stuwerstrasse. Very good transport links to the city center (2 nearby metro stations – Messe-Prater and Praterstern + tram).
Overall, the impression from apartment was very positive. Probably some pieces of advice would be to install air conditioner and make the bed not to squeak. In every other way everything was perfect. Many thanks!
das Zimmer entsprach dem im Internet abgebildeten Bildern. Bei dem abgebildeten Haus hat man geflunkert. Auch die U-Bahnstation war nicht wie im Bild erkennbar direkt am Haus sondern ca 300 Meter weiter weg. Die Sauberkeit war oberflächlich in Ordnung. An Stellen wo man nicht immer rankommt hätte es aber besser sein können.
Das App. ist schön, sauber und zentral. Leider ein Minuspunkt, da das Bett sowie Bettsofa sehr quietschen, sobald man sich bewegt.
Dafür Pluspunkt, dass es Waschmaschine und Geschirrspüler hat, und modern saniert.
Sehr verkehrsgünstige Lage, schönes Appartement, alle el. Geräten vorhanden, Schlüsselübergabe war leider nicht gut organisiert. Umgebung ist sehr einfach, haben aber nächtlich spätes Nachhausekommen "überlebt" :) Wir würden wieder buchen!
Eine wunderschöne Woche in Wien ist leider zu Ende. Danke an unseren Gastgeber für die wunderbare Unterkunft. Bis auf das bei jeder Bewegung quietschende Bett und die gewöhnungsbedürftige Umgebung, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Ausstattung, Bad, WC, etc. sind neuwertig. Für einen Kurzurlaub ideal. Die Lage ist ruhig, obwohl der Prater nur 1 Gehminute entfernt ist. Von dem Apartment aus sind es nur wenige Gehminuten zum Bahnhof Praterstern, von dem aus eine hervorragende Verbindung mit Bus,Tram, U-Bahn oder S-Bahn in alle Bezirke der Stadt besteht. Wir würden uns bei unserem nächsten Wienaufenthalt jederzeit wieder für dieses Apartment entscheiden. Nochmals vielen Dank.
Die Wohnung selbst war sehr hübsch, neu und komfortabel und wirklich alles da was man für 2 Personen benötigt. Auch hat die Übergabe tadellos geklappt. Etwas enntäuscht waren wir von der Reinlichkeit der Leintücher und der Umgebung. Sensible Gemüter mögen sich vielleicht an den wartenden Damen an den Ecken stören. Sonst ruhige und freundliche Anwohner.
Efter en turbulent start, problemer med parkering, og et blandingsbatteri der var og er defekt havde vi en rigtig god uge i Wien, som er en super dejlig storby.
Kvarteret, hvor lejligheden ligger i, matcher ikke faciliteterne i lejligheden.
Introduktionen, der blev foretaget af en meget ung pige, ikke Ms. Ljilijana, var ikke særlig god.
Ms. Ljilijanas far forsøgt i løbet af mandagen at reparere blandingsbatteriet, men det lykkedes ikke.
We had a very pleasant stay at this appartment. It is really perfect, brand new and very complete (with washingmachine, dishwasher, satelite TV). It was really pleasant to sit on the balcony. The bed and the shower are exellent, Also the location is good with the tramway nr 2 to take you down town. We were by car and could park in a garage around the corner and in the weekend free in front of the door or in the street around the corner. Vienna is a wonderfull city, and we would recommend the city as wel as the appartment very much.
We arrived at the apartment on a very hot afternoon. The apartment is located on the sixth floor which is almost the top floor of the building. Unfortunately this meant that inside the apartment the temperature was as high as outside (>30degC). The apartment looked just as in the pictures, very modern and bright. When it was time to go to sleep we discovered that the sheets were still damp from the dryer. Due to the heat we didn't need the covers so this wasn't a real issue but still something you wouldn't expect. The bed could use a little tweaking because it was very loud when one turned. Also a minor disappointment was the lack of supplies. No sugar, tea, coffee or oil. The only thing there was salt and coffee filters.
The pull-out sofas are high quality. In fact I slept better on the sofabed than on the real bed.
Location is perfect, very close to the metro and a tramstop (line 2 will take you directly to the the Vienna ring).
Even though it was very hot we had a great time in Vienna.
We enjoyed our stay at the apartment which we found to be very comfortable and well equipped, and it was nice to be able to sit out on the balcony. While at first the apartment appeared to be a way from the centre, the close proximity of the underground and trams made this journey very easy.
